Work, work, work

In the studio with the homie Les Izmore last night, and the session was pretty amazing. Love working with Les cause he is such an artist and we really push each other to be better artists. As much attention as I give to the total production, Les gives that to the recording process.
I love doing albums cause there’s so much artistic merit involved. Like writing a book or movie with a friend it makes the possibilities endless. Like I’ve been shouting for about 2 months– RTL is gonna be amazing but this Les Izmore album will be right up ther with it.
I’m getting the rap itch again so imma continue this mixtape that I started before the battery effect– it’s called “the bonus round” prolly got close to 10 joint ready for it now so imma gon draw up a plan of action!

INK reviews Battery Effect

I get so nervous when people review my art because i make it with no intentions to please. I am so happy that my city is supporting me and taking notice of the art i provide for it. This review is exactly my mind state while making this record and it is so awesome to know that people are feeling the same way i was while making it. Its not a happy record. Battery Effect is the truth, and sometimes the truth comes with a smile but in most cases it doesnt. I work my butt off to make quality music and im just so happy that people understand me and want more!!

what an amazing show!! i get so inspired everytime i watch it on t.v or pop in my season 2 dvd– outta all of the “gifts” Maya and Alejandro’s the most deadly!! Could wipe out the masses!! After watching i loaded up the MPC with samples from- Traffic “hidden treasure” from the high heeled boys lp– then used windows movie maker to flip out this short vid– enjoy!

Michael Jackson was a humanitarian long before it was cool. And Heal the World Foundation is a world wide charity organization he founded to focus on improving the lives of children.
To honor his efforts Jeepney has a limited edition “Down with the King” t-shirt for $30. A portion of the proceeds goes to his foundation in an effort to heal the world.

A-Trak teamed up with Dust La Rock for a sick Kid Robot creation, Grateful Bear (not as sick as Madlib’s Quasimoto, but fresh nonetheless). It’s $50 and they only made 500. Plus they are offering a free download, A-Trak and Lupe Fiasco’s Mastered
I wonder who will issue some collectible vinyl next…
